Hello I’m Anna, Arabella Belly Dancer, I perform a variety of Belly Dance styles. I fell in love with Belly Dance after Uni and have performed and taught Belly Dance in Bristol and beyond since 2002. I learnt my craft as the resident dancer at Byzantium and many prominent venues, events and festivals. I trained in Cairo and have been a qualified JWAAD teacher since 2008. I love to entertain and create my shows in a variety of styles; modern oriental, folkloric, Golden era, Baba Karam, Meleya, Shamadan, Isis wings, silks fans, Dabke, stick and more to suit my audience. I dance from my heart, with my smile, passion and shimmy. During the pandemic I supported over 100 Source Artists in Cairo by producing 16 Online Zoom Haflas with my Bestie in Cairo Zara!
Arabella Sparkles is my Burlesque persona and she has been a featured artist with Cardiff Cabaret Club, The London Burlesque Festival 2017, Bristol Burlesques Festivals 2016 and 2018 and won the 2016 bronze award for her Queen Elsa and Olaf in the North Wales Burlesque Festival. She is known for her character work with a comedy twist on the perils of modern femininity, life and love. Her acts include interpretations of Wonderwoman and Batman, Adam Ant, Classical showgirl and 1940s to name a few.
